Coffee

I know I'm supposed to drink water at the cooler, right?

However, coffee stirs my blood early in the morning and gets the electrical connections in my brain actually turned on.

It's a big debate.  Hot coffee or iced? Do I go for the cheap 95 cent stuff at Macs, which looks like a glorified truck stop? Or do I go for the big stuff?

I crossed the train tracks and went to the Java Bean.  Flavor of the Day? Chocolate Almond.

Brain on.  I made the right choice.  You?

  1. I see our Virtual Cooler really is more like the virtual "breakroom" whether it be for a glass of water, to rinse out the old coffee mug, get your lunch out the fridge (you know the communal one that usually has something rotting in it), get coffee, or you're just walking by and stop and chat to someone else that is taking care of their dietary needs. So coffee or water - same end result for the purpose of the virtual cooler.

Regarding coffee and the debate of good stuff of glorified truck stop dish water... I say go for the good stuff every time. Maybe we pay for the effect of purchasing the coffee in a nice coffee-beany smelling little shop with a tatted up barrister who appears to be passionate about their job and product, but if that makes the cup taste better and the caffeine have greater effect, I say pay up for the placebo effect of the atmosphere, and be happy!

Back to the communal office refrigerator - now that's one of the upsides of a virtual cooler, we don't have to deal with mould and smells that eminate from shared space. An interesting book would be to do a study of shared office refrigerators, monitor use and what is placed in there each day, how it is packaged, where the person puts it (if they try to hide it maybe they don't trust people and think it will be taken), and create a psychological profile on people, based sole on how often the use the refrigerator, what they put in it, what they take out of it, how it is packaged, how often, etc. It would be a blind study. Never see the person, but create a profile based purely on their relationship with the office refrigerator......

Question- does this blog site have spell check feature??? I am insecure about my spelling!
